Emily Evans and Colton Fisher were introduced by a mutual friend at the University of Arkansas. As Colton and Emily began talking, they realized they had more than just a mutual friend in common. Their grandparents had grown up across the street from each other in England, Arkansas. They fell in love quickly and were soon inseparable. After their remote graduation in 2020, Emily took a job in Washington, D.C., while Colton stayed in Fayetteville for grad school. Several months apart made them realize they were ready to get married. During Thanksgiving break in Arkansas, Emily’s mother hired a photographer to take family photos. What Emily didn’t know was that it was planned to capture the moment Colton would propose. On December 18, 2021, Emily and Colton were married at Green Acres Baptist Church, in the same room where her parents married twenty-seven years earlier. Like her parents, Emily and Colton celebrated with a reception at Willow Brook Country Club. Emily and Colton live in Little Rock. She works for Governor-elect Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Colton attends Law School.
